CEREMONY
We are so grateful that you are joining us for this special moment in our lives. Thank you for making time to be here and celebrate with us.
The ceremony venue is across the road from our future homestead on Hanson Mesa Road. Our neighbor, Pamela Thomas, is our gracious host and friend, offering her yard and amazing view for the ceremony. Thank you, Pamela!
Please arrive no later than 4:00 to park, walk, and contribute to the wedding ritual. Refreshments will be available.

Parking is limited and available across the road at our property 34617 Hanson Mesa Road in the side yard. There are also limited spots along the side of Pamela’s shared gravel drive. Look for the signs as you approach the properties. Please be courteous to our Hanson Mesa neighbors and tenants. Please do not park or drive over landscaping or block the driveways or road.
Carpooling to the ceremony and the reception is highly encouraged. Make friends on Friday and plan ahead.
Reserved spots near the ceremony and reception venues are for our parents. Please keep those spaces reserved for them. Holler if you need any special accommodations.
We ask that you be present with us during the ceremony. Please keep your phones off or on silent and stowed away. There will be plenty of time to take photos after the ceremony, and we will share an album with everyone after the big day.
No kiddos. No smoking. No dogs, please.

THE STORY
In March of 2024, Rob “MacDaddy” and Sarah “Woody” met on a backcountry skiing hut trip organized by Tony “T” Barlage and Candice “Powder Princess” Owen. Woody was living in Fruita and Rob in Louisville. Woody was invited by their mutual friend, Erik “Lamby Lamb” Lambert, to fill a vacant spot at the Fowler-Hilliard hut. While the trip wasn’t a setup, there was an instant recognition of their connection. After a couple of days of deep conversations, stolen glances, and flirting during the cornhole tournament, Rob managed to get Woody alone on the uphill skin track and confessed his crush. Whereupon Woody admitted the feeling was mutual! 👩❤️💋👨
Fast forward 2 years; after many bike rides, ski tours, concerts, and rafting trips, Rob proposed to Woody at the Eiseman Hut among the same group of hut-trippin’ friends. A special surprise Woody didn’t see coming. 💍
We are so grateful for this opportunity to gather in the outdoors with our dear friends and family and share our vows. And we’re thrilled that Tony, who played an important role in both our meet-cute and our engagement — has graciously agreed to officiate the ceremony. Thanks, T!
THE RING
Rob proposed with a unique Colorado-mined aquamarine stone, mined from Mt Antero. Mount Antero, historically called Antero Peak, is the highest summit of the southern Sawatch Range and known for its rich gem fields. The prominent 14,269-foot fourteener is located in San Isabel National Forest, near the Town of Buena Vista. The stone was mined by a local Colorado jeweler and is an emerald cut, set in sterling silver. Aquamarine is the stone for March, and that happens to be the month that our love story began. A thoughtful, sustainable, local choice…and very romantic. We look forward to climbing the peak together, and maybe even connecting with the jeweler and mine where the stone originated.
